"In my role on the Panhellenic Executive Council, I am responsible for educating our members on ways to improve their well-being. After going through this certification, I know so much more about resources we have on and off campus that I cannot wait to share with chapters. There are also many tools and practices that I can use in my own life if I or someone I know is struggling with their well-being. I could not recommend this program more to anyone who wants to learn more about what it means to be well and the steps to get there."

"I recently completed the Well-Being Certification offered by the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. The overall health and well-being of those in my life, and within my community is crucial. To me, this was of great importance so I could expand my knowledge and better myself to handle situations in which I would need the skill to provide assistance to those in need. The process was well-structured, and I recommend that all peers of mine consider this certification as it doesn’t only benefit you, but others too.

I have sincerely enjoyed every piece of this program and emphasize that others should participate as well! The wellness assessments, lessons, and activities have educated me on all things that are 'behind the scenes' in regards to well-being. This program has furthered my personal development of identity, personality, character strengths, planning of wellness goals, and how to be proactive in lowering stress through the use of techniques such as mindfulness. My favorite part of this certification was the QPR training. This piece provides you with knowledge in preventing behaviors that put others, and even yourself at risk. The lessons this program has taught me will forever bring a smile to my face. I hope that others can find this of interest, and importance whether it be as an individual, organization, or committee here on campus!"

"We began a Wellness Committee in our department (Entomology) in 2020 as a way to provide some virtual workshops, seminars, and activities for our department during COVID. We hope to add face-to-face activities once the pandemic is behind us. I first heard about the Well-being certificate when Connie Boehm spoke at one of our faculty meetings. I felt it would provide some additional training and knowledge that could benefit both me as a Wellness Committee member and be something I could share with others.

I have thoroughly enjoyed participating in this program! The wellness assessments and activities have taught me more about my character strengths, setting wellness goals, and how to be proactive in reducing stress through techniques such as mindfulness. My favorite activity was creating the Vision Board, a collage of people or things that make you happy; it makes me smile whenever I look at it! I highly recommend this certificate to anyone, either as an individual or as part of a Wellness team or committee here on campus."
