Hey, Huskers. How are you doing?
How are you really doing?
Seeking help when you need it is a sign of strength. Whatever you’re going through — whatever you’re growing through — the Big Red Resilience & Well-being team is here to help. We can also connect you with other free and confidential resources on campus to support your emotional well-being.
Explore these campus resources to better understand and improve your emotional well-being, and learn ways to support others who may be struggling:
Reach out to Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS)
At no cost to students, CAPS counselors are available 24/7 to listen and support your mental, psychological and emotional well-being when issues arise. Call 402-472-7450 to schedule an appointment.
When you’re going through something, it helps to talk about it. The well-being team is here to help you navigate the ups and downs of life. Make an appointment or visit a pop-up station to talk with a student well-being ambassador.
Your mental health is just as important as your physical health. Check-in with your well-being by completing a 10-minute survey that will identify areas in your life where you may need support and connect you with resources.
You could save a life by recognizing when a friend or family member is struggling. Help prevent suicide by learning the risk factors, warning signs and how to intervene when someone is in distress.
In the following videos, students share their stories and how taking steps to care for their emotional well-being has made a difference in their lives and the Husker community.
Join the Campaign!
Huskers Keep Growing is a campus-wide campaign to promote hope, resilience, connectedness and belonging among all students at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. We invite campus partners to use our campaign toolkit to help amplify positive and empowering messages targeted to students. The toolkit includes a social media playbook, social media assets and suggested copy to use on your social platforms.
Contact us if you have questions about the campaign or would like to receive positive messaging materials to display in your building or other campus space.
